I first came to pg电子app下载 as a student during 2014, while studying Omaha language I and II with Alice Saunsoci inthinge. I began working at pg电子app下载 as a Research and Development Advisor/Faculty Member in the summer of 2016, while also continuing to study Omaha language III and IV with Hawatay (Winona) Caramony inthinge. As a waxe w’au, the Omaha language is not my own ancestral language. It is a humbling experience, and I truly believe that there is so much that one can learn through the language. I recognize that I still have much more to learn from elders, community members, our own students, and one another.
